NCUTCD Meeting in Minnesota

The National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices is meeting in Bloomington, Minnesota, just south of the Mall of America this year. It is a lovely spot for a meeting. I took the light rail train from the airport (MSP) to a nearby suburban station. The early morning walk was a bit of a shame and I may have been the only person to make the journey by foot.

Here's a few early takeaways from a walk around the neighborhood where the meeting is going to be located.

Pedestrian crossing at the rail with a pedestrian WALK indication

One cyclist on the street, sans Mall traffic

Right turn slip lanes are used quite a bit near the mall

Highway Capacity Manual Level of Service A for everyone!

Locale of the meeting, luxuriously located next to the airport!

Pedestrian connections to the Mall of America leave a little to be desired
